I had the great privilege of knowing Karen from the moment I arrived at the DDSB in 1990. But my admiration for her as a teacher, a mentor of students and an educator committed to the betterment of the learning experience was realized during the years we shared on staff at PPHS. She was a consummate professional, a thoughtful, progressive teacher and a highly respected staff member. Our passion for Standard Poodles only added to our shared experience as teachers. Rest well, Karen. Memories of you remain with all of us. You'll be missed.
